In a bowl, combine vegetable oil, salt, smoked paprika, chili powder, and black pepper.
Coat each drumstick evenly with the spice mixture.
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 minutes.
Arrange drumsticks in a single layer in the basket or on the rack, leaving space for air circulation.
Cook for 12 minutes without opening the basket.
Flip the drumsticks using tongs.
Cook for another 10–13 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.
Check internal temperature; it should reach 165°F at the thickest part near the bone.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
